About Our 1kg Dried Mealworms
Many insect-eating birds are attracted to Dried Mealworms and will soon become regular feathered guests at your garden feeders, particularly Robins and Blackbirds. Our Dried Mealworms have an extended shelf-life in comparison to live Mealworms, allowing for longer use and more treats for the birds.

Do you do smaller bags?
This 1kg bag of Dried Mealworms is a great value size. However, if this is too big for you, we also offer 100g and 500g bags of Dried Mealworms. These smaller bag sizes are an ideal snack size and a useful introductory feed to those new to bird feeding. If you have very hungry birds, you will benefit from our largest bag sizes, which are a 5kg bag or 12.55kg option.

When to feed
Our Dried Mealworms can be fed to wild birds throughout the seasons as they are extremely nutritious. It's best for them to be offered in smaller quantities as they are also very high in calories, making them ideal for Autumn and Winter feeding when birds require extra energy to survive the frosty nights.

How to feed
Our 1kg Dried Mealworms can be easily fed from a bird table or mealworm feeder. As Dried Mealworms can be fed to birds on their own or added to a seed mix, they can also be fed from a seed feeder when added to a mix. Give your garden birds an extra special treat by soaking the Dried Mealworms in water overnight to rehydrate, they won't be able to resist the juicy goodness. To keep our local wildlife safe, we do not recommend feeding Dried Mealworms from a ground feeder as over-consumption can be life-threatening for Hedgehogs.

How to store
All of our bird foods should be stored in an airtight container to preserve them for as long as possible. If you do not have an airtight container, a cool dry place will suffice, but we do recommend a container to help keep them in their best quality for as long as possible.

Birds you might attract to your garden
Dried Mealworms are known to entice a range of birds to your feeders, particularly the Robin who favours them. Keep a look out for the following species when feeding with this high-protein treat:
Blackbirds, Starlings, Robins, Dunnocks, Blue tits, Great tits, Coal tits, Wrens, Chaffinches, House sparrows.

Are Dried Mealworms safe for Hedgehogs?
The short answer is yes, Dried Mealworms won't pose any harm to our spikey friends as long as they are eaten in moderation. There can be potentially fatal risks to a Hedgehog's health if they consume over four Mealworms per week as it is too much for their diet.

Ingredients
Dried Mealworms. Please note that a small number of Pumpkin seeds may be in each bag as they are used to feed the Mealworms.
As tasty as they are for wildlife, our Dried Mealworms are not suitable for human consumption.
